Exhibit Application Examples

Below are three different versions of a beautiful kinetic sculpture by Arthur Ganson. The SILENT version, without any music accompanying it, speaks for itself. All elements are exquisitely consistent with its image. The ORIGINAL music version is accompanied by a lovely piece of music. Yet the Exhibits Matter perspective contends that this music detracts from the work of art. The underlying musical structure is not consistent with the sculpture. The BACH version is highly consistent with the piece and therefore amplifies the experience for the visitor. The Exhibits Matter approach – its methodology – can explain why the Bach accompaniment offers the viewer an exponentially more powerful experience. When this methodology is applied during the entire exhibit development process, it ensures a more successful exhibition and saves the exhibit team time and resources.
